Weekend Update

So this seems to be more of a weekend update type blog...i will try to change that...BUT for now I had an eventful weekend...NOT

I had to work this weekend and couldn't bask in the great Grand Forks sun during the late afternoon, however I managed to find my own adventures regardless. Saturday was an experience. I got up around noon and headed over to Rhombus Guys in a sun dress that had been lost in the closet for the whole winter. It was very excited to be taken out and especially on an occasion like today. We hit up the GFK's only roof top bar in town. I -being a major fan of roof top bars- couldn't be more thrilled. The patio up top was nice, beautiful sun spread across the trendy tables and black mat floor. Graduation weekend was happening I guess so we saw lots of families spread about. I suppose lots of people think graduation of UND's students is bad for business but I however see it as a chance for all the hot spots to lower prices and bring back 2 dollar teas at the Moose!

Sunday I went for a run to the park and back...saw lots of little girls playing in their yards and squirrels scampering about. It is so hard to believe this place can be so dark in the winter. It was just beautiful out! I then headed to Wal Mart w. the bf which was anything but beautiful...the parking lot was packed full! Bleh, who would ever want to go to Wal Mart on a Sunday in the afternoon....um no one. We ditched the parking lot and went around the corner to Dairy Queen! Yum much better! Blizzard month well beat the long lines of Wal Mart folk. I decided to venture to Wal Mart Monday at 12am...so I guess that would be this morning. What an interesting place at that time. The store is full of boxes being unpacked and people re-stocking the shelves. The lone shopper was a scooter and a few kids buying Mt. Dew...There was one line open and the lady checking me out felt the need to comment on almost every item I had decided to purchase. I guess i'm not having her over for dinner...

This afternoon I spent the day sun bathing amongst Dandelions and my dog. It was a good day :)
